This is the second time that we have completed this walk, but thankfully this time we were only accompanied by a bracing wind,. In the absence of the driving rain experienced last time, the walk this time was quite delightful, enhanced by the evocative call of Curlew, Red grouse galore and a singing Skylark.
The highlight of the day, giving an "Ah" moment was a mare with hr very young foal.
Birds seen or heard today included:Greenfinch, Blue tit, Robin, Great tit, Chaffinch, Jackdaw, Rook, Carrion crow, Blackbird, Meadow pipit, Curlew, Red grouse, Collard dove, Goldfinch, Canada goose, Black-headed gull, Skylark and Curlew.
