To get to the car park, take the A55 road as far as Valley. At Valley take the A5 and then right on to the A5025. Follow the A5025 as far as Llanfaethlu. Here turn left and follow the signs for Church Bay. There is free parking next to the Beach Cafe. W.C. there also! Weather forecast at the moment seems good!

Good news from the Britannia. New opening hours from the 2nd April are 12 noon to 11-00 p.m.

Just in time since we have just about run out of new walks in the Llangollen area!

Thursday 29th March

Pengwern Vale and More

Start: Llangollen longstay car park. Grid ref:SJ213421

To get to the car park, go over the bridge towards the centre of Llangollen and take the first road right that is signposted car aprk. The car park is straight ahead as the road bends left. The entrance is adjacent to a scout/cadet hut.

Dave Berry describes the first walk as exploring the less well known area South of Llangollen overloking Pengwern Vale. It gives superb views and glimpses of the Ceiriog Valley. The extension is part or all of a walk that some of us did on a glorious sunny day with snow on the ground.
