A Short Afternoon Stroll Before the Anticipated Rain.
The riverside part of the walk, but did you see what appeared to be a Crocodile about to enter the river.
A Little egret on the bank  of the River Dee.
Croc on the Dee.
Distance: 3.6 miles. Climb: 60'.
Time: 1 hour 32 minutes. On the move walking avwerage: 2.6 m.p.h. Overall walk average: 2.3 m.p.h.
After an early painting sessio yesterday, I woke up to find that the heavy rain overnight had created a wonderful dotted pattern all over the newly painted door. It loked as though I needed at least a two day / night window to give the door another coat.
Shopping and a garden visit again meant that it was about 12-30 before I could go for my daily walk.
By this time, it was starting to get quite humid and with a good chance of rain, I anticipated I would have to use my umbrella at some time.
many of the birds seemed to be taking cover in the hedges and undergrowth, but a few could be heard and even fewer seen. These included: House sparrow, Common blackbird, Common chaffinch, Chiffchaff, Common whitethroat, Pied wagtail, Woodpigeon, Barn swallow, House martin, Herring gull, Lesser black back gull, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Blue tit, Grey heron, Carrion crow and Little egret.
Groups of cyclists on the Wales Coast Path are getting worse, I seem to spend more time with my back to the path than I did looking where I was going!
Arrived home to find the my spotty door was no longer spotty, so unless they reappear overnight I won't have to get my paint brushes out again.
