Surprising selfies before setting off for a walk.
The latest "Hare" fashion
The latest fashion in head gear!
A Damp Saltney Riverside Walk.
The rain drops a falling on Balderton Brook on the west of Bridge Street, Saltney.
I  don't like this wet stuff, a Male Common blackbird sheltering in a tree.
Yes there is a Grey heron in the picture

You can just about make out the shape of the Grey heron in this photo.
A male Greenfinch that had just stopped singing.
A male Common blackbird singing in the rain.
The offending vehicle, illegally parked on Flint Road, Saltney Ferry.
Distance: 2.5 miles. Climb: 37'.
I set off with in light rain, just enough to annoy you if you are a spectacle wearer. i decide to walk today, just to make a point to myself that I don't only walk on sunny days.
At first it seemed as though the birds had decided to be miserable because it was raining, and it wasn't until I reached The Riverside, River Lane, Saltney that I saw any birds and started to hear the Chiffchaff singing.
As another walker approached me, he said "not many out walking today" as he passed me. He was right, a couple dog walkers and just one cyclist.
Birds seen and heard: Goldfinch, Chiffchaff, Common blackbird, Common chaffinch, Black-billed magpie, Common whitethroat, House sparrow, Winter wren, Blackcap, Herring gull, Lesser black back gull, Grey heron, Oystercatcher, Collared dove, Song thrush, Greenfinch, Woodpigeon, Common starling, Dunnock and Black headed gull.
No inconsiderate cyclists to grumble about today, just one inconsiderate car driver that had parked right across the pavement on Flint Road, Saltney Ferry, just because bollards had been placed across the entrance to their usual parling area n the south side of the footbridge. I smiled as I approached the offending vehicle - thought it had been given a ticket. Alas it was just a note left by a pedestrian pointing out the error of the car drivers ways.
